Presentation of the book “Dalina: The Sacrifice of the horse”

February 13, 2024

By opening up a world of diverse cultures and perspectives, books from international writers not only expand our understanding of the world, but also contribute to global cultural dialogue. Their works deepen the understanding of the diversity of human experience and enrich our cultural heritage.

In this regard, on February 12, 2024, the presentation of the book “Dalina” was held at the AIU, organized by the Department of Journalism. The author is a young French woman, French teacher Anna Bellocq, who has been living in Bishkek for more than two years. Her passion is writing fantasy, and she decided to combine it with her love of Kyrgyzstan, choosing it as the setting for her first novel, the first volume of the trilogy “Dalina: Sacrifice of the Horse”.

This book is an exciting fantasy novel that takes the reader to a world where Earth has become an Empire under the control of Terrians – werewolves, nymphs and elves. The plot centers on Aizada, who wakes up in this new world and is forced to fight for survival in an unpredictable environment where her fate is closely intertwined with the fate of the Empire and its ruler, the Emperor. The clash between different races, intrigues and riddles create a rich plot in which the main character is forced to make decisions that determine not only her own fate, but also the future of the entire Empire.

During the presentation, students asked interesting questions about the creation of the novel, and about the difficulties the author faced. The author presented her book to each participant with a signature. We express our gratitude to the author for a valuable gift!
