NEW BOOKS ON JOURNALISM AND ONLINE MEDIA FROM IWPR

April 5, 2022. Zhazgul Ibraimova, IWPR Program Coordinator in Central Asia, has paid a friendly visit to Ala-Too International University, donating new books and manuals on journalism and new media to the AIU library.

Books in Kyrgyz and Russian language from the CABAR Media School, IWPR educational project, were gratefully accepted by the library and the administration of the AIU. Vice-Rector for Administrative Affairs Seitbek Tilekov and Head of the Department of Journalism, Aida Abduldaeva, noted the relevance and professionalism of IWPR publications. Thanks to IWPR, the AIU library collection has been replenished with teaching manuals as well as books for students on new media, investigative journalism, and media coverage of religion in Kyrgyzstan. 

In turn, Zhazgul Ibraimova emphasized the importance of replenishing library funds of the universities of the country with new books on journalism and humanities.

– The media sphere is changing very quickly. To educate a new generation of professionals, we need high-quality books that meet the criteria of the new market, – Zhazgul Ibraimova said.
